Which cookies this website uses, and how you stay in control of them.

In short. Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses very few: the ones it needs to work and stay secure and, only if you accept, those of Google Analytics to measure visits. Until you make a choice, no analytics cookie is set and Google Analytics isn't even loaded. You stay in control: accept, refuse (in "Customize") or change your mind at any time in the , at the bottom of every page.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a website. It lets the site remember something, such as a choice you made. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage.
This site is operated by an independent webmaster based in Québec (the "Operator"), with the permission of TB Auto Sports S.E.C. The Operator is responsible for the cookies used on the site. To learn more about the Operator and all the information collected, see our privacy policy.
Why we use cookies
- To run the site securely: remembering your cookie choice and protecting the contact forms from spam.
- To measure visits, with your consent: knowing which pages are viewed and how the site is used, so we can improve it.
- To play embedded videos, when you ask: YouTube videos only load when you press play.
The site uses no advertising or targeting cookies and no social media cookies.
Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Purpose: remembering your cookie choice and protecting the contact forms from spam and bots (Google reCAPTCHA). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site securely. These cannot be turned off in the preferences, because the site would not work properly without them.
Analytics
Purpose: counting visits and understanding how the site is used (Google Analytics). Legal basis: your consent. These are off by default and only set if you accept them.
Embedded content
Purpose: playing the YouTube videos embedded on the site. Legal basis: your request, when you press play. Before that click nothing loads from YouTube; the player then uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
The site uses no functionality cookies that require consent and no advertising cookies.

Consent and managing your choices
The site uses its own consent banner, with no outside provider.
- On your first visit, a banner offers Accept all or Customize. In Customize, analytics stays off until you turn it on: click Save my choices without turning it on to refuse.
- Before you choose, no analytics cookie is set and the Google Analytics script is not downloaded.
- Your choice is stored in the
tb_consentcookie, on your device, for 12 months. After that, or if we change the cookies that need your consent, we ask again. - To change your mind, open the (link at the bottom of every page). If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics is turned off immediately and its cookies are deleted from your browser.
When you accept analytics, Google Analytics loads and sends its statistics through the site's own domain (tbautosports.com), which relays them to Google. This doesn't change your choice: if you refuse, nothing is sent.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, the site still works, but your choice can't be remembered and the banner will come back on every visit. Instructions for the main browsers:
Transfers outside Québec
Information collected by Google's cookies (reCAPTCHA, Google Analytics, YouTube) is processed by Google LLC, notably in the United States. We assessed that it is adequately protected, as Law 25 requires; for visitors from the European Union, Google relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this cookie policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever a new tool is added to the site. The effective date at the top of the page shows the current version. If a change affects the cookies that need your consent, the banner will ask for your choice again.
